1st CONFERENCE OF THE SOCIETY OF QUALITY IN HEALTHCARE IN NIGERIA VENUE: AGIP HALL, MUSON CENTRE, LAGOS

The SQHN held its 1st conference on July 7th 2009.  This conference was an avenue to introduce the society and its activities to the general public.

Topic which will be discussed at the conference  included

  1. The Concepts of Accreditation
  2. Maintaining standards, role of accreditation and training
  3. Patient Safety
  4. Measuring of clinical outcomes

Facilitated by Quality experts and personnel, including Dr Dudley Wang, Regional Medical Director for Shell,   Professor S. Whittaker, Managing Director for COHSASA, The South African based Hospital accreditation organization, Dr Jibike Oyewuni, Quality Manager at Lagoon Hospitals and representative from Joint Commission International, the US based hospital accreditation organization.
