Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) Program
The Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) program is an international voluntary certification program in the field of healthcare quality management. It is the only certification program in healthcare quality management to achieve full accreditation by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) of the National Organization for Competency Assurance in Washington D.C. USA.
The SQHN can facilitate and assist individual who are interested in pursuing this certification program. The international exam is usually held twice a year on the second Saturday of the months of May and October each year. The examination now holds in the computerized format only. International candidates will not receive instant score sheets but result will be sent within 3-5 business days after completion of the examination to candidate’s address of record.
The granting of CPHQ status recognizes professional and academic achievement by individuals in the field of healthcare quality management. The comprehensive body of knowledge includes quality management, quality improvement, case/care/disease/utilization management, and risk management at all employment levels and in all healthcare settings.
The individual must also demonstrate competent knowledge, skill and understanding of program development and management, quality improvement concepts, coordination of survey processes, communication and education techniques and departmental management.
