The Society for Quality in Healthcare in Nigeria (SQHN) in collaboration with Medi Pharm Africa will be presenting a CPD workshop to interested persons in the healthcare sector to encourage safety in drug and pain management.
Improving the safety and quality of medication usage in Nigeria is one of the priorities of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) in its mission to safeguard the health of the Nation. Their activities promote the rational and safe use of medicines, ensure post marketing monitoring of regulated products, creates awareness on pharmacovigilance among all healthcare providers, marketing authorization holders and the general public. They also supports development of policies and science based advice and information to all stakeholders.
This workshop will give the attendees valuable information on the role of NAFDAC pharmacovigilance unit and how they can assist healthcare providers ensure medication safety, learn about pain management in adults and children without the overdose epidemic which is now prevalent across the world. It also understand the pharmacists perspective on medication safety and the role the pharmacists play in improving healthcare policies.
SQHN’s mission is to lead, advocate and facilitate the continuous improvement of quality and safety in healthcare in Nigeria through education, collaboration, training and accreditation.
