We have offered theoretical trainings and workshops aimed at Quality Improvement.
Now, SQHN brings the practical training down to your facilities through PRACTICUM.
Practicum is practical, on-site training that allows members of staff of an organisation to observe and document how Quality Improvement advisors perform QI activities.

- It is an avenue for preparing organisations for quality improvement journey and accreditation.
- It is a valuable tool for visual, practical and action based learning.
- It will afford staff opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge and practice their skills in real world settings.
- It will prepare all staff for the realities of Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety.
“WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT?”
- The practicum would include;
- Baseline assessment of the organisation.
- Shadowing one or more QI advisors who will guide the on-site experience.
- Observing and correlating practices in the field with theories and methods previously learned.
- Focusing on independent application of skills, and knowledge of standards in the organisation.
- Recording and reporting of data or assisting with tasks as directed by on-site QI advisor.
- Completing practicum assignments and executing action plans within a specified period.
- Both clinical and non-clinical staff
